David E. Gunn, CPA, serves as the Founding Partner at The Accounting Group LLC, bringing decades of experience in accounting, business valuation, and leadership. Before pursuing his career in accounting, David served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant in security. After earning his BS in Accounting (Cum Laude) from Indiana State University in 1973, David became a Certified Public Accountant in 1975. His extensive career began with Price Waterhouse and spanned nearly three decades at Harding Shymanski & Company, where he advanced to Partner and led the firm’s business valuation division. In 2002, he founded The Gunn Group LLC and later became Managing Partner at The Accounting Group LLC. David has performed hundreds of audits and prepared thousands of tax returns for businesses and their owners, all while establishing himself as a trusted expert witness in valuations. In addition to his professional roles, David has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Indiana and as an instructor for the Indiana CPA Society. His leadership extends beyond accounting, having served on the Board of Directors for First Bancorp of Indiana and held positions such as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Ivy Tech Southwest and President of the Mesker Park Zoo Foundation.

Jennifer is a seasoned accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in Tax and Financial Managment. She has steadily risen through the ranks at The Accounting Group LLC, where she now serves as a Partner. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Western Governors University. After joining the firm as a Staff Accountant, her expertise in financial reporting earned her the role of Accounting Manager. She later transitioned into tax accounting, where she specialized in tax planning and preparation for businesses and individuals. Recognized for her leadership and strategic insights, she was promoted to Partner, where she now mentors junior staff and leads client engagements. With additional experience in both nonprofit and corporate sectors, she excels in handling complex tax matters, providing clients with expert guidance on intricate tax issues and strategies

Brody, CPA, holds a broad spectrum of expertise in healthcare administration, accounting, and education, making him a versatile leader in both academia and the accounting industry. He earned a Bachelor’s in Economics and Business from Indiana University and has further advanced his education with a Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Evansville and a Master’s in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University. With dual licensures as a Certified Public Accountant and a Health Facility Administrator, Brody brings a unique combination of financial acumen and hands no management experience to his role at The Accounting Group, LLC, He has extensive experience in business strategy, financial management, and revenue cycle optimization, having founded and operated BKO & Associates, LLC, and served as Director of Operations at Transcendent Healthcare. Additionally, as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Southern Indiana and the University of Evansville, Brody contributes to shaping the future of accounting and healthcare finance education, leveraging his practical experience in developing courses and mentoring students.
